A premier medical hospital in northeast Florida recently opened the doors to its brand-new, state-of-the-art, $254 million facility with a series of private and public celebratory events March 28 and 29. One of the weekend's main events was a private luncheon the hospital hosted for its benefactors, with a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony by the hospital C.E.O. and local dignitaries, produced by Destination Planning Corporation.
Body and Soul, the Art of Healing, a local jazz combo, entertained guests as they toured the new facility before the ribbon cutting and dedication.After the outdoor ceremony, attendees reentered the hospital for a special luncheon. A sea of tables draped in silk linens of bright spring colors, such as violet, sage, blue, and green, lined the hallways. Centerpieces of yellow roses, green hydrangeas, and purple and orange flowers provided by Liz Stewart Floral Design topped each table.
Additionally, each place was preset with the afternoon's main course of chicken and skewered shrimp, with strings of white onion and red and yellow peppers over long green asparagus, provided by Catering by Liz Grenamyer
