1. BRUNO MARS TO HEADLINE SUPER BOWL HALFTIME SHOW: Bruno Mars will perform at the Super Bowl halftime show, an announcement made during the FOX NFL Sunday broadcast live from Times Square. New York Times: "The selection of Mr. Mars, 27, whose debut album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, was released in 2010, is something of a departure for the N.F.L., which in recent years has tapped long-established acts for the Super Bowl, like Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, the Rolling Stones, and Madonna. Even the most recent halftime artist, Beyoncé, 32, has been a star since the late 1990s." http://nyti.ms/1ajMBqV
2. TOKYO SEEN AS SAFE CHOICE AS OLYMPICS HOST: Tokyo will host the Summer Olympics in 2020, beating Istanbul and Madrid for the honor. Associated Press: "The choice of Tokyo bucked the [International Olympic Committee's] recent trend of taking chances on host cities—Sochi, Russia, for the 2014 Winter Games, Rio de Janeiro for the 2016 Olympics and Pyeongchang, South Korea, for the 2018 Winter Games. Preparations for Sochi have been overshadowed by cost overruns, a record $51 billion budget, security worries and an international outcry over Russia's anti-gay legislation. There are mounting concerns among the IOC over construction delays in Rio. The IOC's desire for a reliable, dependable host in 2020 was a crucial factor for Tokyo." http://es.pn/18IqqsD

Just like the device's design—which consumers can customize at the Moto X Motomaker site—the installations at Fashion Week change colors from person to person." http://bit.ly/17Bipal
4. HOW TO DEAL WITH BAN ON PURSES AT SPORTING EVENTS: As more stadiums and arenas ban purses and backpacks at sporting events in response to the Boston Marathon bombings, entrepreneurs are coming up with products to meet the new policies. Daily Journal: "My Event Bag is gallon-size pouch made from plastic vinyl, with a patent-pending "privacy shield" to hide personal items like tampons and medication. The bag has drawstrings and can be worn over the shoulders." http://bit.ly/1ajKl37
