In an industry that's made up of more than 12 million people, we get giddy when an opportunity arises to shine a more direct spotlight on the individuals moving meetings and events forward. When virtual events became the only way to produce gatherings amid the pandemic, those in the event technology industry got their chance to shine—and they didn't waste it.
Existing event tech companies adapted their services and only got stronger; startup businesses began to thrive; and other event pros were inspired to get their hands dirty and launch new-to-market products and platforms to help event organizers continue to do what they do best: create memorable experiences that allow others to feel connected—even if only for a few hours and from behind a computer screen.
Which brings us to this new feature we're introducing at BizBash, highlighting the most influential women in event technology, a field predominantly led by male figures. Click through the links below to learn more about these inspiring women, how they got their start in event technology, their advice for other females breaking into the industry and more.
