The screening room uses high-definition digital projection for its 15- by 20-foot screen and Bose surround sound. The screen can be used for PowerPoint presentations and 16-millimeter films, and DVD and Blu-ray players are also available for use during events.
Gourmet concession stands at the venue are stocked with Miami Beach Cinematheque’s own line of baked goods and chocolates, and serve Nespresso coffees. The venue can work with various caterers to service events—including Escopazzo Italian Restaurant, which provided hors d’oeuvres for the Oscar night party.
The cinema's walls will double as exhibition space; the inaugural show featuring the work of Hollywood photographer Frank Worth is on display through March.
With advance notice, clients booking private events may also use the city hall lobby. The venue is working on approval to allow guests access to a courtyard with tables and chairs.
Parking is available behind the building, in a covered garage on 12th Street and Drexel Avenue.
