The One Group, based in New York, has brought its STK steakhouse to the Las Vegas strip. There's a total capacity of 450 for receptions, or 300 for seated events. The lounge has 60 seats, the bistro has 45, and the main dining room 137. For private dining, the Tempest Storm private dining suite holds 20 for receptions, or 12 for a seated event. And the Candy Barr private dining suite also holds for 20 for receptions or 12 seated.
Executive chef Stephen Hopcraft, from Bravo's Top Chef and the Food Network's Chefs vs. City, executes a menu of meats offered in three sizes—small, medium, and large. For instance, there's a six-ounce filet medallion from the small selection menu, a 12- ounce skirt steak from the medium, and a 24-ounce porterhouse from the large. All are served with a choice of STK's signature sauces, including toasted peppercorn, lemon mustard, and herb béarnaise. Hopcraft also offers an array of salads, seafood, and non-meat dishes.
Signature cocktails include modern reinterpretations of classics, with choices like the "Not Your Daddy’s Manhattan," with Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Liquor 43, and sweet and dry vermouth; or the "Strawberry Rhubarb Cobbler," with rhubarb-infused Finlandia Vodka, muddled fresh strawberries, and a graham cracker-crusted rim. A 250-bottle wine list offers California and French varietals.
Designed by Icrave Studios, STK has a look that blends modern steakhouse with lounge environment, and employs natural materials to contrast the resort's urban feel. A large central lounge has creamy leather banquettes and textured crocodile tiles, and is surrounded by an elevated dining room for more formal dining. Theatrical lights illuminate each table, and smoky mirrors surround. A DJ infuses the space with energy.
“Las Vegas was the perfect next step for STK,” said One Group C.E.O. Jonathan Segal in a release. “Our concept is a lively steakhouse that intertwines great music, delicious food and cocktails, style, fashion, and a sexy energy. It provides both the sizzle and the steak, which we all know is decidedly Las Vegas.”
