This year’s Miami/South Florida Top 100 comes with an asterisk: Because of the coronavirus pandemic, marquee events like Ultra Music Festival were among those nationwide that were canceled or postponed. We’re leaving them on the list because we’re confident that they will return—either with new dates later in the year or in 2021.
The list made room for new entries. By adding the Jimmy Johnson Billfish Championship to the Sports Events category, we’re recognizing competitive sportfishing. Three benefits—Big Brothers Big Sisters: The Metamorphosis Gala, Fairchild Garden's Gala in the Garden, and Kristi House's Silver Lining Gala—are raising significant money with stylish soirées. Other new additions include the Haitian Compas Festival, the South Beach Seafood Festival, and America’s Birthday Bash.
