The historic Tides South Beach hotel has reopened under the ownership of the Kor Hotel Group. The more than 70-year-old historic SoBe landmark recently underwent extensive renovations. Interior designer Kelly Wearstler redesigned the lobby, the Martini Bar, 45 ocean-view guest suites, and the La Marea restaurant with gold leaf, stone, and leather elements.
"In redesigning the Tides South Beach, I paid homage to the history of this amazing landmark, carefully respecting Miami's culture and Art Deco roots. My inspiration was 21st-century luxury juxtaposed with casual elegance, while honoring the city's inherent beachfront spirit," Wearstler said.
