While alphabet soup was not on any of the 37 chefs' menus at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts' Taste of Summer benefit, it did fill the reflecting pools of the campus's north plaza. Event designer Roy Braeger strung together foam core letters to spell out "Taste of Summer" and "Drinks" in the pool; more random letters floated among the words. The organization's senior director of special events, Mary Callaghan, and associate director of special events, Tina Maddaloni, planned the 400-guest affair.
