Once again, top designers, brands, and local talent showcased their creative and inventive work at Dining by Design, an annual fund-raising event hosted by Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS. Proceeds from the event go towards AIDS education and help fund treatment and care for those living with the disease.
This year, the five-day event, which is part of the Architectural Digest Home Design Show, took place from March 17 to 21 at Pier 92, and featured a range of dining settings and vignettes—from clean and sleek to lush and grand. Here's a look at some of the highlights.

Thick, bold stripes displaying the word "Hope" served as an eye-catching backdrop for Interior Design's vignette, which was designed by Ali Tayar in collaboration with SilverLining Interiors.

Sunbrella joined forces with Ghislaine Viñas Interior Design to offer a twist on a tropical tablescape by using a monochromatic purple-blue palette with hanging leaf-like fabric cutouts, banana-decorated fixtures, and tassel-adorned chairs.

Inspired by office design, Rockwell Group and Knoll partnered to create a dining environment they billed as the “ultimate whiteboard” experience. All of the surfaces were covered with IdeaPaint, a dry-erase paint, and decorated with doodle art by New York-based artist Jon Burgerman.

De Gournay’s Le Eden wallpaper served as the backdrop for Luxe Interiors & Design magazine's tablescape, which was designed by Sasha Bikoff. The rainforest-like setting featured woodwork from Liaigre, an abundant floral overhang, and tree trunk stools.

The Architectural Digest installation, designed by Bronson van Wyck, featured a custom-printed backdrop, a bold gold-and-black linen tablecloth by Larsen, earthy light fixtures by Tucker Robbins, and bright red floral arrangements.

Architectural Digest's table settings included tribal-inspired bamboo mats, printed napkins, and napkin rings from Dransfield & Ross, with beechwood-stained black flatware by Ralph Lauren Home.

For Crate & Barrel's vignette, designers Patrick Janelle and Amy Virginia Buchanan of Spring Street Social Society used artist Zeger Reyes’s broken-plates installation as inspiration, creating a white table setting with glass cloches and custom-made seating.

Design Within Reach partnered up with design studio Icrave to create a Palm Springs-inspired setup featuring a clever divider made from black flower pots and tropical monstera leaves, along with an acrylic table topped with matte-white tableware.

Benjamin Moore and Cosentino Chicago designer Julia Buckingham presented a luxe tribute to the paint brand’s color of the year, Simply White. Cast-resin sculptures, a Murano glass chandelier, and eclectic seating options in a mix of textures gave interest to the mostly-white vignette.

As part of Diffa's Student Design Initiative, the event included table designs from New York schools, such as Parsons the New School for Design. The student teams worked closely with industry professionals to design installations incorporating the H.I.V./AIDS cause.

Ralph Lauren Home teamed up with lighting partner Visual Comfort to create a resort-theme vignette, which featured a living wall, teak chairs, and zebra-patterned pillows.

Designed for Modern Luxury’s Manhattan magazine, the Baccarat tablescape featured sleek black flatware and chargers, while the company's crystal butterflies fluttered around a hanging branch structure.

For Robert Allen at Home, interior design firm Madcap Cottage created a Alice in Wonderland-style floral explosion with a butterfly-dotted boxwood hedge, trellis-patterned upholstery, and blooming wallpaper.
