Food & Wine Takes Cool Downtown Venue

We just heard from Food & Wine senior promotions director Melissa Meyer that the magazine will hold its big Best New Chefs event—always a biggie in the restaurant industry—at the Battery Maritime Building on April 4, Built in 1909, the venue recently completed a $58 million restoration funded by the New York City Economic Development Corporation. Slip 7 of the building is used to ferry people to and from Governors Island.
