The Elton John AIDS Foundation will bring aboard sponsors Audi, Chopard, and VH1 this year for its annual Oscar night gala at the Pacific Design Center. Here's a glimpse at what guests will find on the big night: J. Ben Bourgeois Productions will transform the outdoor plaza using periwinkle and chocolate brown tones under a custom-built circular tent. As usual, the menu, created by chef Renato Piccolotto of Cipriani with chef Wayne Elias of Crumble Catering and Marks Restaurant, is vast—offerings at the viewing dinner and after-party will include mozzarella and tomato salad; risotto; sautéed filet of beef with red wine and béarnaise sauces; creamy potato cake and braised carrots; salmon filet with a spring vegetables timbale; zucchini puree au gratin and white wine sauce; salmon and avocado tartare; sautéed jumbo shrimp with marsala; bruschetta; polenta spoons; lamb loin; and potato pancakes; a chocolate caramel bar; Clos du Bois wines—and so much more.
