New Catering Arm for Arroyo

The Steven Arroyo Latin restaurants Cobras & Matadors and Malo are launching a catering division to be headed up by event producer Denise Flachbart. Cobras & Matadors serves tapas and other Spanish dishes like fire-roasted ground chorizo on olive oil focaccia and roasted game hen with sweet-sour Catalan sauce. Malo specializes in Mexican fare like burned habanero with crème fraîche, ground beef and pickle tacos, and lobster tail Diablo. Arroyo also has plans in the works for a wine bar in South Pasadena and a French bistro in the historic Nabisco building in downtown Los Angeles.
