Venezuelan Chef Opens Bin No. 18

Alfredo Patino, the Venezuelan-born former chef de cuisine at the award-winning Bizcaya Grill at the Ritz-Carlton, Coconut Grove, is opening his own European market and wine bar in mid-November and naming it Bin No. 18. Near the Carnival Center for the Performing Arts, the facility will feature a hangout with snacks and coffee, showcases of local artists, a wine shop, a tasting bar, a market/deli, an Internet café, and music. Patino plans to offer wine and specialty food tastings daily, along with special cheese and charcuterie boards with champagne and selected wines after every opera performance at the center.
