The Washington Post is reporting that "one of the Washington area's most glamorous restaurants," 2941 in Falls Church, is losing executive chef Jonathan Krinn and chef de cuisine Jon L. Mathieson, as the two are joining forces to open a yet-to-be-named restaurant in Tysons Corner.
Temporarily, New York chef Scott Bryan (after stints at Veritas, Gotham Bar and Grill, Bouley, and Le Bernardin) will helm the kitchen. A permanent replacement from a top-tier New York restaurant will come in January, hinted 2941 owner Mary Alexander to The Post. Clue: The chef will be conversant in French cooking.
