Morgans Hotel Group is planning a seventh Mondrian hotel, for Palm Springs in 2010, according to a press release from the company. The hotel will have 200 rooms, a handful of which will be for sale as residences. Morgans is partnering with RE:Loft Partners Palm Springs on the mixed-use venue.
The resort will be in downtown Palm Springs on Amado Road, across from the convention center and within walking distance of downtown retail shopping. It is expected to be five stories high and include a restaurant, bar, spa, fitness center, and pool. A kids club will cater to guests with families as well as residential owners. The property is also expected to feature extensive indoor and outdoor meeting spaces, including a large ballroom and boardroom.
