Tavistock Restaurants' ZED451 closed the doors if its Schaumburg and Downers Grove locations on Tuesday. Both restaurants were less than two years old. The suburban outlets of the South American-style steak house "[were] not able to offer some of ZED451's dynamic experiences, such as communal dining tables, a chef's table, and upscale outdoor space, which are fundamental to the brand," Daniel Harf, a chief brand officer for Tavistock Restaurants, said in yesterday's Crain's Chicago Buisness.
ZED451's six-month-old downtown location (which we featured here), however, does feature all of the amenities Harf spoke about and will remain open.
