Stark and subtle decorative touches bathed in icy blue light complemented an array of diamonds at the Red Cross fund-raiser hosted by celebrity jeweler Harry Winston. The event was held at the private bay-front mansion of Steve and Dorothea Green.
Marysol Patton and event planner Selmin Arat of the Patton Group coordinated a luxurious evening soiree of subdued elegance. "We wanted to create a winter wonderland with an icy blue snowy feel to it," Patton said. "Since one of the Winston collections features butterflies, we suspended hundreds of them from the ceiling for a whimsical touch."
Guests dressed in tuxedos and gowns mingled in two lounge areas. Upon entering, they walked into an opulent environment that featured five brilliantly lit glass showcases displaying Winston's elaborate necklaces, bracelets, and rings. The jewels shone in wintry scenes created of crystal, quartz, and bare tree branches.
Karla Conceptual Event Experiences produced the party. In a tented lounge, the company set up long ivory couches and square banquettes with rows of tall vases with white candles floating in aqua liquid. A 30-foot butterfly mobile dominated the decor in the adjacent dining area. Nuage Designs Inc. set the tables with lush, shimmering silver linens. For the centerpieces, Karla Conceptual created clusters of white roses and pine with bare oak branches hung with crystal baubles.
Le Basque Catering & Productions served an elegant dinner that began with wild mushroom ravioli in truffle consommé. The entrée was rack of lamb served with truffle mashed potatoes and grilled baby vegetables; fruit compote with mascarpone ice cream and port drizzle was served for dessert.

Diamonds were the main draw at the Red Cross benefit hosted by celebrity jeweler Harry Winston at the private mansion of Steven and Dorothea Green.

The dining room was in a 100-foot clear tent bathed in blue light.

Clusters of white roses and stark branches hung with crystal baubles made up the centerpieces by Karla Conceptual Event Experiences.

A separate lounge area maintained the cool winter theme with white sofas and candles floating in blue-colored water.
