Green Works unveiled a new partnership with interior designer Sarah Richardson, host of HGTV’s Sarah’s House and Design Inc., and showcased the company’s new line of laundry products, launched in July, at a media event held yesterday at Jamie Kennedy at the Gardiner.
To set the scene, Green Works called on designer Christine Roberts of Judy Inc. to create a vignette at the front of the space using environmentally friendly products such as eco paint and reclaimed wood. Laundry hampers filled with towels sat beside a washing machine while baskets filled with Green Works products lined shelves.
Tim Pellerin, director of marketing for Clorox Canada, said the company chose to hold the media event at Jamie Kennedy's café in the Gardiner Museum because of the natural materials used throughout and the design element inherent in the museum space. As for the partnership with Richardson, Pellerin told a group of 20 journalists, “We felt there was no better fit for the Green Works brand."
Chef Jamie Kennedy catered the event. A food station included a selection of cheeses, fruits, and wild rice crackers, and staff passed hors d’oeuvres like smoked turkey with cranberry compote on sage gougères and roast cauliflower and caramelized onions on puff pastry.
