Just in time for fall events—and the corporate holiday parties coming later in the year—we talked to Boston caterers and venues about their latest food offerings for cocktail parties, seated dinners, and other kinds of events. Here's a look at the newest additions to their event menus.

Kingston Station's new ice cream cocktail buffet offers liquor-spiked ice creams, gelatos, and sorbets. The Caribbean Coffee combines espresso-flavored ice cream with Kahlúa and coconut rum, while the Fidel Castro blends passion-fruit sorbet with rum. The buffet is available for on-site events and can hold five flavors. The Downtown Crossing restaurant can accommodate groups of four to 210.

The new Area Four coffee shop and bakery specializes in breakfast catering. Menu items include house-made bagels, seasonal muffins, Barrington Roasters coffee by the box, and almond croissants. Items are prepared with local, sustainable ingredients.

Foumami is a new downtown spot that offers traditional Asian flavors in sandwich form, served on house-made shao bing (Chinese bread). Choices range from braised pork loin to tofu. The venue's catering branch turns out artful, customized platters for lunch meetings.

Sweet Cupcakes has a new location on School Street, and can deliver goods to surrounding downtown offices. Seasonal cupcake flavors for fall will include pumpkin pie, caramel apple, and s'mores, and the bakery can also customize desserts.

Freshii, a new, health-focused spot in the financial district, can deliver wrap platters and boxed lunches to surrounding businesses. Wrap flavors include vegan, buffalo chicken, Cobb, and tuna garden.

The Market by Jean-Georges at the W Hotel's color-changing cocktails use a Thai herb to coat the inside of a glass. A blue Bombay Sapphire gin cocktail is poured into the glass, and the drink takes on a deep violet color. The cocktail is garnished with tiny flowers from local farms.
