


Stephanie Goto also skipped a centerpiece, instead creating what she called a "chan-dine-lier." Designed to feel like dining inside of a chandelier, the quirky table was encircled by fluorescent PVC strips. Inside, a circular bench surrounding the table was interrupted every few feet with a 2-D cut-out of a seated person.

The dinner menu, which was prepared by Limelight, appeared in a gobo on the floor of the dinner space. To enhance the evening's intended vibe, fog swirled over the illuminated signage. Items listed included egg yolk and fresh ricotta raviolo, pan-seared loup de mer, and "Salad Under Glass" made with Humboldt Fog goat cheese.

In Toronto, Weddingbells magazine celebrated its 30th birthday with a bash at the Design Exchange on April 1. The event featured prominent branding with illuminated letters flanking the DJ booth; the dance floor also showcased the magazine's name and milestone anniversary.


Established 25 years ago, the Allie Awards recognize Atlanta event companies. Awards are doled out in categories such as design, production, and planning, and this year's ceremony was held March 6 at the Georgia Aquarium. The event's theme, “Xperience the Elements,” played out in three themed environments that channeled earth, water, and fire. For the water-inspired space, Your Event Solutions created a 16-foot-long table with a built-in water feature.
