Louis Vuitton

In a no-expense-spared bash for the 2010 opening of its New Bond Street London flagship, Louis Vuitton created unique, numbered V.I.P. invitations that incorporated multiple elements of its travel legacy. Information about each component of the party was featured on a distinct card stock or vachetta leather piece; the final piece was a python card case bearing after-party details. The entire invite was fastened together with a leather tie and gold key—a nod to the French fashion house's luggage-making roots.

Fox Emmy Party

Working with Fox's Bob Stillo, Russell Harris Event Group produced the Fox Emmy party at Soleto Trattoria and Pizzaria in Los Angeles last September. The Russell Harris team described the event as having a "Restoration Hardware-esque" look, with design by Thomas Ford. A Ford-designed sculpture used old-fashioned sign letters, metal numbers, and plexiglass signage to represent the three hosting networks: Fox Broadcasting, 20th Century Fox, and the FX channel.

With circus-style acts—dressed in items from the new line—performing throughout the space and displays placed on carts and bright orange-colored blocks, the catering for Ted Baker's Spring/Summer 2014 collection launch event provided an additional visual and entertainment element. For instance, parasols held dangling funnel cakes, and servers were trained to imitate tightrope walkers as they passed the bites.

Rolling carts stacked with 1,000 white flip-flops with the blue American Express logo flanked the entry to the opening party for the Delta Air Lines Global Sales Conference at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin in 2011. As the 850 guests arrived, they swapped their shoes for the flip-flops and headed out to the party set up around the Swan’s pool and beach, where the sandals left logo impressions in the sand as guests walked.
