Last year, Chicago’s Moto Restaurant offered a new dessert that conjured sunny vibes: It painted coconut macarons to look like striped beach balls, and decorated the plate with chocolate seashells, pineapple starfish, and sand made from brown sugar.

At the fifth annual fund-raiser held on June 19, mixologist Adam Seger created a specialty cocktail from an interactive bar called "Ice. Black. Life." that was inspired by the museum's current exhibition: Charles Ray: Sculpture, 1997-2014. At the bottom of the bar, guests were encouraged to slap a wall of living herbs to release their natural flavors. Seger poured a mixture of various alcohols over ice at the top of the bar, and the liquid filtered down through black limes to become infused with dried fruit. The drinks were served to guests in martini glasses.

The Bachelors Lounge, a cigar speakeasy at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch in Beaver Creek, Colorado, has introduced a Vaportini to its menu. The innovative twist on the classic Martini allows guests to consume alcohol vapor. The alcohol vaporizer has a glass sphere with a hole for a straw used to inhale the vapor, which is produced from liquor that is heated with a candle.

'The cranberry bog that Tyger Productions created for Ocean Spray in November was definitely one of the most memorable. The juxtaposition of a beautiful table setup—which itself contrasted traditional and modern decor—and 900,000 cranberries in 21,000 gallons of water in the middle of Rockefeller Center in New York was so unique and so on-brand.' —Anna Sekula, editor in chief
