
Dubbed the “Julia Child of Weed” by The Daily Beast, Los Angeles-based Jeff the 420 Chef incorporates marijuana in his unconventional menus. “People are really getting excited about it. Edibles are all the rage,” he says. Choco-Java CannaCupcakes are a sweet treat on his catering menu.

The largest annual electronic dance music gathering in the world, Winter Music Conference celebrated 30 years in Miami from March 24 to 28. At the Red Bull Guest House, which took over the Sagamore Hotel, the Breakfast Sessions buffet served munchies including Pop-Tarts with dipping sauces, mac 'n' cheese, chicken-and-waffle sandwiches, and Twinkies. The buffet was offered as a late-night snack.


Held on January 24, the museum's gala offered several food stations from Sodexo. At one station, a portable, mess-free version of a salad offered greens in a crispy shell; dressing was drizzled on with a pipette.

The Chicago Symphony Orchestra hosted its "Remix: Red Hot" fund-raiser at the School of the Art Institute Ballroom on February 27. The event had a New Orleans-inspired theme, so servers greeted guests with a "Southern Punch" made with Tito's handmade vodka, Grand Marnier, pomegranate juice, orange juice, soda, cinnamon, and frozen berries. Food for Thought handled catering.
