A painting of Hacienda Patrón, the brand’s tequila distillery in Mexico, served as the backdrop for the four virtual reality stations at the party. While guests donned Oculus headsets to watch the video, a Web camera recorded their facial expressions. At the end of the experience, guests received a link to a video that combined the virtual reality production with their real-time reactions in a split-screen display.
