


More than 800 gathered in Manhattan's Lower East Side for Thrillist's third annual Best Day of Your Life, celebrating the longest day of the year on June 21. The many attractions included Samsung's "Museum of Instagrammable Moments," which allowed guests to have their photos taken with live-artist exhibits, including a moving backdrop of an aerial view of New York City that prompted guests to jump on a trampoline.

The 2015 Wall Ball, a fund-raiser supporting the City of Mural Arts Program that was held on May 21 at Philadelphia's Electric Factory, gave guests an opportunity to make their own salad by ordering from a salad mural. Catering by Design created a mural wall of salad greens using an existing railed platform. Men dressed as painters used garden shears to cut down baby heads of lettuce, which were transferred to clear paint cans that guests could take to a salad bar to add toppings.

The Activision booth promoted Guitar Hero Live, allowing attendees to journey from fans to performers. As guests got ready to go on stage, staff pretending to be stagehands and groupies pumped them up. They were guided to center stage—prominently at a visible and heavily trafficked area of the booth—where a live audience cheered them on. A green-screen stage dive was also part of the experience.

At the exhibit for the game Life Is Feudal, booth staff clad in suits of armor posed for photos with passersby in stocks.

Right at the entrance to the convention center, a giant interactive statue for the Bandai Namco game Dark Souls III saw significant crowd interaction. Surrounded by the trade show's controversial "booth babes," attendees posing in a photo op could pull an embedded sword and make a black inky substance spout into the air.



At a media event in New York called “Ketchup’s Got A New Mustard” in late May, Heinz introduced a new mustard as well as its ad campaign of the same title. Peter Callahan Catering's test kitchen was turned into a backyard barbecue. The decor included Weber grills that served as tables.

Guests posed with oversize bottles of ketchup and mustard in front of a wall comprising hundreds of bottles of yellow mustard.

The Robin Hood Foundation Benefit—New York’s largest single fund-raiser—raised a record $101.7 million Tuesday night at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Guests entered the event through a giant camera lens, alluding to the portraits used throughout the decor and program.

At a sweet sixteen party produced by Magnolia Bluebird Design & Events, a hot chocolate to-go wall featuring custom mugs, gourmet marshmallows, and milk chocolate hot cocoa allowed partygoers to leave the sweet sixteen with a sweet treat.


At the Avalon Palm Springs hotel property, PopSugar and ShopStyle placed chic white logos across the existing hedging, which was visible from the street.

On April 18, Citi hosted a V.I.P. lounge at the Global Poverty Project's Global Citizen 2015 Earth Day Festival in Washington. MAC Presents created a custom "grass graffiti wall," which had neon logos for Citi, its "ThankYou" rewards program, and Global Citizens 2015 Earth Day.

On April 26, Safe Kids Worldwide hosted a day devoted to safety tips for kids at the Lot in West Hollywood. Presented by Nationwide, the event included a photo op with a Lassie lookalike and an arrivals wall that featured sponsors' names in front of trimmed hedges.
