










EiR NYC, an organic body care line for men and women, provided a D.I.Y. after-sun oil station for guests to mix up their own blends.

Returning for the third season at New York Men’s Day, American shoemaker Johnston & Murphy showcased its Spring 2016 collection in a rather unconventional way. Rather than the traditional—and, perhaps, boring—shoe display, the brand, through its PR agency GCK Partners, perched 36 pairs of shoes atop waist-high platforms that ran the length of the Industria Superstudio driveway ramp. It not only made efficient use of otherwise dead space, but it also ensured that every guest saw the shoes and created a popular Instagram moment. On the walls behind the shoes, Cadillac erected poster boards of the 12 designers' concept sketches for their respective car exterior design.



Michael Breach, a Brooklyn-based coffee artist who appears at events all over the world, makes latte art that inspires guests to snap photos and share them on social media. Able to work from photos, Breach can design faces, logos, or even pets in foam. As for the most unusual designs he's created, Breach said that he rendered a "very odd assortment of objects" in foam for a skit with Amy Schumer and Comedy Central. Each design typically takes around five minutes.

Pitchfork Media hosted its 10th annual Pitchfork Music Festival at Chicago's Union Park July 17 to 19. Local beer company Goose Island made custom periscopes, set back from the main stages, that let guests peer at the festival crowds near the stages.

Who knew carpet samples could come in handy at a music festival? Chicago-based carpet company Flor handed out some 5,000 squares of carpet so that guests could make their own carpeted seating areas on the grass. When the weather turned stormy on Saturday, guests used the carpets to cover muddy spots on festival grounds.







Produced and designed by Bureau Betak, Rodarte's September 11 show at Center548 featured a striking grid of mirrors with red and blue fluorescent tubes (now a Rodarte signature), inspired by Los Angeles’s street grid at night in the '80s. A continuation of its fall collection’s Northern California roots, the West Coast homage further showcases L.A. as a hotbed for talent, as spearheaded by Hedi Slimane.

Servings of Oreo cheesecake came with a folded napkin and spoon, making for smoother service in the dine-around format. The dessert, from Tru Tru Cakes and More, was served at the Farm to Table Brunch February 22 at the Palms Hotel & Spa.
