
More Balls Than Most, an entertainment and meeting facilitation company based in the Netherlands, invited attendees to sculpt something out of clay. By the end of the conference, the facilitator had combined each of the sculptures into one large piece of art.

To begin his session on how music can be used at meetings, Joshua Samson from More Balls Than Most played tunes on a PanArt hang.

Following Samson’s performance, he invited attendees to stand and clap, moving from simple to more complex rhythms. Samson’s strategy is that people making music together are naturally drawn to one another, and when the activity is over they easily continue their conversations.

The Mash Machine, an interactive music maker, received the conference’s “New Kids in Meeting Design” award. By moving blocks around on the surface, users can mix snippets of bass, drums, melodies, and vocals into one of 10,000 possible combinations.

Social Media Marketing World

This year's Social Media Marketing World took place April 17 to 19 at the San Diego Convention Center. At the opening night party, attendees played “Networking Bingo” by gathering Twitter handles of fellow guests that met the criteria indicated in the boxes. All completed cards were entered in drawings for prizes such as a ticket to the 2017 conference or a free annual pass to the Social Media Examiner membership site.
