






As a trendy alternative to a traditional wedding cake, Toronto-based catering company Eatertainment offers colorful layered cakes served in jars.

To market its newest spirit to millennials, whiskey brand the Macallan hosted a virtual tasting on March 4 via Twitter and Instagram. The brand created eight Instagram accounts—one for each cask used in its new Edition No. 1 whiskey—and then linked to each one with tags.

Tumblr helped launched electronic artist Santigold's new album, 99¢, with a performance, DJ set, and art installation at Jack's 99 Cent Store in New York. The performance was part of the Tumblr IRL program, a platform that brings artists to transform a space into a live interpretation of an upcoming album or single.

Pace Gallery, located in Menlo Park, California, has a new exhibition called "Living Digital Space and Future Parks." On display through July 1, the exhibition features the work of Teamlab—a Japanese art collective and group of self-described "ultra-technologists." To create "Crystal Universe," Teamlab installed LED Lights in a three-dimensional space to create the illusion of an infinite number of light particles. Viewers can interact with the installation with their smartphones by swiping their phones while facing the installation.

For a way to bring food truck eats to the office, Roaming Hunger—a booking service for food trucks for events across the United States—has launched an in-office catering program. Companies can order from more than 8,300 vendors listed on the booking site and app for team meetings, company parties, luncheons, and more.

The online arts and culture media company's latest edition of its Lunch Break series kicked off in New York on February 23 at the Marquee nightclub. Event sponsor Perrier's logo was featured throughout the party on mini hot-air balloons and glowsticks.

As guests left the event, they were given somewhat traditional bagged lunches containing a peanut butter and jelly sandwich from the Jam Stand, a banana, and a Kind bar.

The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society's annual conference and exhibition took place February 29 to March 4 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas. Cloud-computing company Salesforce debuted its new product, Health Cloud, at the event in a variety of ways that included demonstrating how the product works on two large displays made to look like an iPhone and a desktop computer.

To promote it's "time-saving amenities," Residence Inn by Marriott hosted free events in various areas around New York on February 29. The hotel brand highlighted its pet-friendly amenities with an afternoon party at its Midtown East property. Guests could cuddle with puppies on site, and reps from North Shore Animal League American were on hand to arrange adoptions.

Guests could call friends and family members in a "calling pod," outfitted with a plush seating area and a phone.
