










The Jays Care Foundation—the Toronto Blue Jays’ organization that uses baseball to teach life skills to underserved youth—incorporated the theme of Canada 150 into its annual benefit gala in May at the Rogers Centre. Centerpieces for the seated dinner included wooden loons, which were decorated by kids from the program as part of an art project.

Nonprofit Brooklyn-based venue National Sawdust hosted its third annual spring gala in May at Gotham Hall. Dubbed "Lazy Susannaphones," musical centerpieces were placed at each table. Notecards invited guests to share their experience on social media using National Sawdust's gala hashtag.










Amazon hosted a Zelda Fitzgerald-inspired event at Drybar in Chicago on February 6 and 7 to celebrate the new series Z: The Beginning of Everything. Salon signage was printed with the Amazon Prime Video logo, as well as the black-and-gold logo for the show. Elsewhere, staffers hung framed photos of the series' characters.






The grand opening of Moxy NYC Times Square hotel in New York took place October 25. The launch event, which was hosted in partnership with fashion event curator MADE, featured a New York-inspired adult playground theme. MADE created on-site, interactive stations that also served as photo ops, including a neon-lit basketball court that doubled as a dance floor.
