The Jays Care Foundation—the Toronto Blue Jays’ organization that uses baseball to teach life skills to underserved youth—incorporated the theme of Canada 150 into its annual benefit gala in May at the Rogers Centre. Centerpieces for the seated dinner included wooden loons, which were decorated by kids from the program as part of an art project.

Amazon hosted a Zelda Fitzgerald-inspired event at Drybar in Chicago on February 6 and 7 to celebrate the new series Z: The Beginning of Everything. Salon signage was printed with the Amazon Prime Video logo, as well as the black-and-gold logo for the show. Elsewhere, staffers hung framed photos of the series' characters.

The launch event, which was hosted in partnership with fashion event curator MADE, featured a New York-inspired adult playground theme. MADE created on-site, interactive stations that also served as photo ops, including a neon-lit basketball court that doubled as a dance floor.
