1. Fashion Week
#1 Fashion Industry Event MasterCard remains title sponsor for Toronto’s main fashion event. More than 30,000 buyers, editors, and fashion folks are expected at the tents in David Pecault Square in 2015, where designers will show their Spring 2016 collections. Additional sponsors include Maybelline and Joe Fresh. Next: October 19-24, 2015

2. Toronto Fashion Incubator New Labels
#3 Fashion Industry Event The sold-out nonprofit runway show and gala returned to One King West for the second year in a row, where prize money totaled $35,000. Nickelodeon/Viacom sponsored the new SpongeBob design challenge. M.A.C. came on as a new sponsor. Next: May 3, 2016

3. Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards
#4 Fashion Industry Event (new to the list) In three years, the gala has grown to host 650 people, plus 1,000 more at the Sephora-sponsored after-party. The 2015 highlight was a patriotic speech by honorary co-chairmen Michael Budman and Don Green, founders of the iconic Roots brand. Next: April 15, 2016

4. P&G Beauty and Grooming Awards
#5 Fashion Industry Event More than 300 of Canada’s top fashion and beauty players celebrated editorial and creative talent at the Arcadian Court in 2015. Singer Jully Black, shoe czar Ron White, and gossip maven Lainey Lui attended. Next: Fall 2015
