The Charlotte Motor Speedway is not your usual NASCAR venue. Composed of traditional steep-banked turns with a middle portion twisted into a pair of chicanes, this course poses high stakes playing out at high speed for the participants of the ROVAL™ 400. 

Central to this heightened atmosphere were thousands of race fans packing into the stands. Angling to make an engaging pit stop for motorsports fanatics, title sponsor Bank of America enlisted Britten's expertise to build out the design. Calling for interactive race simulators, a playful tangle of prize-distributing tubes, and a regal display of NASCAR history, here's a breakdown of how Britten crafted a complete activation poised for victory lane.

BoxPop® Custom Shipping Containers
The principal element for establishing this fan space was a trio of BoxPop® custom shipping containers. To add functional dimension, two containers were stacked on top of each other, with the upper unit featuring a massive display screen and the bottom integrated with gift-dispensing pneumatic bank tubes. The third served as the housing for the race simulator stations, and employed a retractable mesh awning to shade contestants vying for the checkered flag.

WoodWorks Custom Millwork and Fixtures
With BoxPop® containers assembled for the exterior structure, Britten WoodWorks was then tasked with building out the space’s interiors. Well-versed in custom millwork, WoodWorks crafted a full cabinetry package custom-fitted to fill the container space and to display a curated collection of NASCAR trophies and racing memorabilia.

EventTruss™ Display Hardware and Frame Systems 
Complementing the stacked BoxPop® containers was a set of EventTruss™ structures bracketing the façade. Durable and adaptable, these frameworks are ideal for creating entranceways, designing stages, and creating towering brand visibility. Topped with Bank of America signage, the EventTruss™ used in tandem with the container provided a finished look to the entire ensemble.  

Branded Print Signage 
Incorporated throughout the entire brand activation environment was a variety of branded print signage. Including mesh displays, vinyl print, and even vibrant graphics, each element of the Bank of America fan engagement space was bedecked in attractive imagery that promoted the impending race and closely adhered to exacting brand standards.
