Video Applications, Scharff Weisberg Uniting

The 25-year-old Tustin, California, technical design and production firm Video Applications is joining forces with Scharff Weisberg, a New York-based presentation technology production company with 28 years of experience. The agreement creates a new holding company, which allows them to work both together and individually. Gary Standard, C.E.O. of Video Applications, will be C.E.O. of the new holding company; Joshua Weisberg, president of Scharff Weisberg, will be president. The agreement allows the companies to "deliver a large array of services to clients more cost-efficiently than before, while building our capabilities to create a truly national, if not international services company," Weisberg said in a release.

Video Applications pioneered the use of edge-blended projection to create wide-screen video displays. Scharff Weisberg is a 100-person company whose technology offerings include video screens, projection and LED systems, and a standalone lighting rental business.
