This was a stellar year for partners Randi Friedman and Susan Gladstone of Logistics Management Group. The pair orchestrated high-profile events that drew thousands, such as the South Florida Food and Wine Festival and various MTV Video Music Awards satellite parties. But it was the private corporate events like the five-day gathering of 200 C.E.O.s of private international corporations in which the pair did their best work.
Chief Executive Corporation's quarterly International University event required Gladstone and Friedman to concoct one-of-a-kind activities that shuttled the delegates from Vizcaya Museums and Gardens to South Beach to a remote encampment in the Everglades. Meanwhile, Logistics had to make sure each guest received top-notch V.I.P. treatment, whether that meant scheduling their private jets at the Opa Locka Airport or getting them to a private viewing of the Miami City Ballet.
"We came up with the ideas and they picked the ones they liked," Friedman says.
"We made arrangements. Most of the time, just mentioning their names opened a lot of doors."
On the second night, Friedman and Gladstone arranged for the group to ride an airboat to a remote encampment near Big Cypress Reserve in the Everglades. After a wildlife tour and encounters with animals, the group feasted on an elegant dinner set up with candlelight and fine crystal and silver. Afterward, the blues band Iko-Iko entertained with a hot set of music.
Gladstone and Friedman rely on the network of contacts they've developed over their 18-year partnership. They are skilled hands at making almost any concept a reality.
"We do every element of an event," Gladstone says. "We determine everything and build an event from the ground up."

![For the after-party, Event Eleven built three 30-foot pagodas and hung 300 lanterns from the ceiling. They also brought in a 20-foot-tall bonsai tree and a variety of 30-foot red maples, along with other greenery and foliage.
