Created by Brooklyn-based design studio VolvoxLabs, the DaVinci dynamic video wall melds a photo booth experience with stylized interactive effects. Equipped with a DSLR camera and consisting of eight LED monitors varying in size and shape, the highly configurable system can be scaled and built to a company’s specifications. Photos are triggered remotely and processed with custom digital effects or branded content; iPad kiosks allow guests to post their shots to social media or to print them. The first iteration of the DaVinci (which stands for Design, Audiovisual, Interactive, and Content Implementation) was used at a Lincoln Motor car launch during the Tribeca Film Festival in April 2014. Last fall, DaVinci 2.0 debuted at a Microsoft launch party; the upgraded wall comes equipped with a Microsoft Kinect camera, which is able to capture and separate guests from the background. Pricing starts at $17,400, with additional fees for custom fabrication. Meta Agency handles booking.
