Financial advice, blood pressure check-ups, and free flu shots will all be part of ZoomerShow, a new lifestyle expo targeting baby boomers. The consumer show—taking place this weekend at the Direct Energy Centre—is being launched by Moses Znaimer, president of ZoomerMedia, and follows the September debut of the magazine Zoomer, named for Znaimer's term for people aged 45 and over.
Aspirin 81mg is the title sponsor of ZoomerShow, which will be launched in several more Canadian cities in 2009. Other sponsors include Goodlife Fitness, Scotia McLeod, and Polident. Znaimer has been pushing the consumer importance of baby boomers since launching ZoomerMedia—he explained the strategy behind his company in an interview with Marketing Magazine earlier this year.
ZoomerShow starts a day after the Canadian Association of Retired Persons' (CARP) conference, and CARP members receive free access to the show.
