1. The Beauty Experience New York

Formerly known as the International Beauty Show, the rebranded trade show remains one of the industry’s most important gatherings. More than 19,000 industry professionals attended the three-day event at the Jacob K. Javits Center to take advantage of more than 100 educational sessions, interact with top beauty brands, mingle with industry influencers, and purchase products. Experiential beauty zones like the Business Guides zone, the Makeup Counter zone, the Nail Marketplace zone, and the Beauty from Within Supplement Station enabled attendees to focus on the topics most applicable to their businesses. 2. Beautycon New York

Beautycon marked its fifth anniversary in 2019, when some 20,000 attendees made their way to the Jacob K. Javits Center to connect with beauty brands at more than 250 pop-up shops, immersive art installations, and talks from celebrities like Cardi B and Regina Hall. This year, the convention will add a job fair as well as master classes offering in-depth beauty tutorials. In addition to the New York event, Beautycon also hosts festivals in Los Angeles and Tokyo. Next: October 31-November 1, 2020

3. Fragrance Foundation Awards

Known as the Oscars of the perfume business, the Fragrance Foundation Awards honor the industry’s most noteworthy achievements from the past year. In 2019, the event moved to the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center, and Jane Krakowski reprised her role as host. Michelle Pfeiffer, Martha Stewart, and Jason Wu were among the 1,000 guests at this glamorous gala, where Chanel, Christian Dior, Victoria’s Secret, and Fragrance Hall of Fame inductee Tom Ford were just a few of the evening’s honorees. 4. Breast Cancer Research Foundation Hot Pink Party

In 2019, more than 1,000 guests attended the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s Hot Pink Party, the organization’s signature fund-raising gala since 1994. Held at the Park Avenue Armory, the party where guests wear pink raised more than $6 million to fund breast cancer research. Elizabeth Hurley returned as the evening’s emcee, and David Foster, Maxwell, and Katharine McPhee were among the performers who entertained the crowd. Next: May 20, 2020
