Once a month, BizBash brings you even more inspiration for your own gatherings with our "Cool Event Ideas of the Month" column, where we round up some of the creative ideas we haven't had the chance to cover yet.

Our October 2024 roundup includes a lingerie-filled garden from Savage x Fenty; a colorblocked gala for the Art Gallery of Ontario; a gamified trade show booth for Instacart; an out-of-this-world kickoff party for Atlanta Pride; and more from brands like Dunkin', American Ballet Theatre, Create & Cultivate, and Comcast.

Savage x Fenty Lavish Lace Collection Debut with Nordstrom
Catalina Productions recently designed and produced an influencer and customer event with Savage x Fenty and Nordstrom—featuring an appearance from none other than Rihanna herself. A celebration of the Savage x Fenty Lavish Lace Collection, the event at LA’s Westfield Century City embraced the brand’s themes of lavishness and empowerment through various displays featuring elaborate gardens and lace overlays.

After touring the displays and speaking with press on the showroom floor, Rihanna moved the party to the mall’s Cabana event space. There, guests were invited to explore the “Lavish Garden,” a walkable installation with lace walkways and enclaves of florals and lingerie displays.

The experience offered plenty of photo op moments for user-generated content, including an elegant “fainting couch” surrounded by flowers and an oversized 'X' installation. Pop Social photographers were on hand to capture guests with a custom lace texture overlay, infusing each photo with the look and feel of Lavish Lace.

AGO's Art Bash
AGO's Art Bash
The Art Gallery of Ontario's 1,000-attendee Art Bash Gala Dinner, held in late September, featured a unique, colorblocked event design by CANDICE&ALISON. Inspired by Helen Frankenthaler’s painting “Flood” and the "color fielding" technique, decor embraced large expanses of color with soft transitions, intending to create an atmosphere without strong contrasts or a central focus.

The space came alive with tones of dusty rose, champagne, hunter green, and royal blue that were perfectly matched in the abstract ceiling drape, wall perimeter, table cloths, napkins, menus, and florals.

For the after-party in the museum's Walker Court, meanwhile, CANDICE&ALISON leaned into bold colors and metallic accents inspired by the “Moments in Modernism” exhibit, bringing the vibrant hues of Jack Bush’s paintings to life. The large main stage and bars were clad in a marble decal that perfectly matched the existing marble of the room, making the entire setting of the party one big canvas for the large strokes of color.
