3 New Locations for Meetings and Presentations

E18543standalone

For those looking to host a brainstorming session or presentation outside the office, here are three new venues built for such functions.

1. WNET Studios at Lincoln Center
Much like its neighbor Alice Tully Hall, WNET's new studio location is open and modern with views into its two-story space through floor-to-ceiling windows. Built for the production and broadcast of the public media company’s programs, WNET at Lincoln Center is fitted with HD monitors, DVD players, projectors, and WiFi. Available for cocktail receptions, dinners, and meetings, the first floor has 1,500 square feet of usable space for events and the second floor offers 2,200 square feet.

2. N.Y.I.T. Auditorium on Broadway
Made available for external use just a couple of months ago, the New York Institute of Technology's theater and conference venue sits in an Upper West Side space previously occupied by a Clearview cinema. Flexible enough to host seminars and meetings as well as screenings and product launches, the multifunctional site includes a 3,172-square-foot auditorium with 262 seats and a 10- by 20-foot stage, a 906-square-foot atrium lobby that holds 100 for receptions, and a green room on the mezzanine. Projection, video, lighting, and audio gear is supplied, and N.Y.I.T. Food Services is the preferred caterer.

3. New York Society of Security Analysts
This financial organization's Times Square home, a space the group moved to earlier this year, is available to outside organizations for meetings and presentations. The main room, which can be split into three sections, seats 195 in a classroom setup. There are also two smaller conference rooms available; one seats 10, the other four. Membership is not required to rent the site, and the society offers Webcasting, audio conferencing, teleconferencing, and taping, as well as on-site audiovisual support staff.
