When it comes to press conferences, many are straight forward and to the point. Cirque Productions went a little more elaborate however when they announced the tour of their newest production, "Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy" with an over-the-top entertainment spectacle today-right in the middle of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino's lobby in Hollywood.
The entertainment company set up a stage in the foyer of the casino complete with whimsical jungle accents such as foliage, and colorful animal characters. Additionally, themed vignettes were set up around the lobby area to further add to the jungle atmosphere.
Following a welcome from the hotel president, all attention was turned to the two TVs on stage for a short promotional video about the new production-which was just a small glimpse of what the overall show offers according to Shirley Crane of Cirque. That glimpse continued with performance from aerialist, contortionists, acrobats, and comedians who drew a large crowd with its stunts.
The Jungle Fantasy tour begins in November and will travel throughout the U.S. and Canada through May 2009. During that time the show will be making two stops in South Florida: once in January at the Hard Rock and another in Miami in May.
All elements of the Cirque Dreams productions can be customized for corporate events.
