Ever wondered about the pieces museums stash out of sight? The Brooklyn Museum now offers access to 1,500 pieces in its American collection ordinarily in storage. The museum opened the Luce Center for American Art’s Visible Storage/Study Center, which presents a range of works—paintings, sculpture, furniture, photographs, works on paper, a collection of Tiffany lamps, and other decorative art objects—in a condensed format and arranged by medium, much as they would be in storage. —Mark Mavrigian
