Designers and florists from across the United States share their most-used flowers at events and offer some predictions on which flowers are set to bloom.

“The most popular flowers are dahlias and the ‘Café au Lait’ dahlia in particular. My personal favorites are all coming out of Japan right now—incredible sweet peas, ranunculus, and lisianthus in dreamy colors of peach, pink, and apricot.” —Todd Fiscus, owner and creative director, Todd Events, Dallas

“Garden roses are the new peony. They smell amazing and last forever.” —Addie Flynn, co-founder and creative director, Olyve Flowers, Miami

"Believe it or not, in the right setting, baby's breath is really making a comeback! It works best when it stands alone. It has a very boho feel to it, so it is becoming more and more popular with brides. And peonies, anemones, and ranunculus are always huge crowd pleasers." —Denise Porcaro, owner and founder, Flower Girl, New York, New York

"I love spiky, edgy flowers like king protea and pincushions. Green trick has always held my heart. I also like poppies. Those black middles just get me. I also dig a super dark dahlia." —Katie Jayne Sprenkle, founder and event and design director, Jayne Weddings & Events, Chicago

"I get the most requests for peonies. They are the fancy ladies of late spring and early summer. Dahlias in all their glorious shades and shapes are popular in fall." —Denise Fasanello, owner, Denise Fasanello Flowers, Brooklyn, New York

“[Ranunculus] dovetails nicely with the natural look everyone has been craving, and the texture is welcoming and timeless.” —Matthew Schechter, event and creative director, Interior Foliage Design, Long Island City, New York

“We are starting to see lots of requests for big delicate, feminine blooms, such as garden roses and ranunculus.” —Stephanie Elhayani, owner and creative designer, Seed, West Hollywood, California

"I find I am always incorporating lots of greens versus blooms. Walls of ferns, hanging greenery, or vines that grow up walls. Although I really do love anemones. Simple and elegant." —Ashley Smith, owner, Buzzworthy Events, San Francisco
