What do you call a restaurant that serves a fusion of Asian and American cuisines? Aleutia, after the Aleutian Islands, the Bering Sea archipelago between Asia and Alaska. The new sleek, modern bilevel restaurant features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Park Avenue South and a 40-foot concrete bar set against a striking orange wall. Opposite the bar is a lounge area dotted with suede chairs and stools, and the rear of the restaurant can seat 40 people for dinner. Upstairs, an intimate mezzanine area lit by colored lights overlooks the ground floor and can accommodate a sit-down dinner for 65. The entire space can accommodate a reception for 250.
