1. The Light Group opened Diablo’s Cantina in the Monte Carlo Resort & Casino in September 2007. The 13,000-square-foot Strip-side bar-restaurant serves a menu of Mexican staples, accompanied by a frozen drink bar and more than 75 tequilas. The -bilevel venue includes an open-air setting on the second floor with a retractable awning and a built-in stage. The entire venue can hold as many as 1,000.
2. The Light Group also took over Bare at the Mirage in March 2007, upping the offerings at this luxury poolside venue by adding an all-day DJ and providing pitcher service of mojitos, Bloody Marys, and sangria. The very-V.I.P. venue includes two luxury dipping pools, private daybeds, and a poolside snack menu. Bare can host evening events for as many as 450.
3. Guests can also lounge poolside at Tao Beach, which opened adjacent to Tao Asian Bistro and Nightclub at the Venetian in May 2007. The pool is the center of an 18,000-square-foot open-air nightclub featuring a 30-foot bar, 14-foot fire columns, and a floating dance floor. The seven lavish private cabanas each have a plasma TV, DVD player, and Xbox 360.
