Here's a look at the best new San Diego restaurants, corporate event venues, hotels, conference centers, and private and party rooms to open for events this fall. These new and renovated San Diego venues can accommodate groups large or small for private and corporate events, conferences, meetings, weddings, business dinners, teambuilding activities, cocktail parties, and more.

Downtown’s Andaz San Diego finished a renovation of its 20,000 square feet of meeting space in July. The $250,000 project, from architecture and design firm Gensler, brought in new furniture and executive studio tables and chairs, new carpet and foyer flooring, and new wallpaper, and added a 90-inch TV to the Executive Studio. The hotel also converted its foyer bar into a work space for meeting attendees. The largest indoor space, the Studio, holds 325 for receptions or seats 220 banquet-style.

Guests can take in the sights and sounds of the beach at Mission Beach’s Coaster Terrace. Opened in January, the rooftop meeting space has 4,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space; it holds 330 for receptions. The venue also has in-house audio and video equipment and modernly appointed surroundings.

In Mission Bay, Paradise Point Resort is a picturesque destination that plans to unveil its new Sunset Pavilion in October. The 15,000-square-foot event space will hold 1,000 guests for receptions. Glass walls and full audiovisual capabilities will complete the venue.

Park & Rec, one of University Heights’ newest drinking destinations, features three structures. Opened in May, the space underwent a restoration that added cozy nooks in between each building for a combined 5,000 square feet. Communal tables as well as individual seats overlook several patios. Bars spread throughout the venue serve handcrafted cocktails. It holds 300 people for receptions.

Rustic Root opened in June in the Gaslamp district. It features modern American cuisine with a homey touch. The open-front restaurant features two floors of dining with 2,500 square feet downstairs and 2,000 square feet on the second-floor rooftop area. The space seats 200 or holds 350 for receptions.

Pan-Asian fusion meets sleek decor at Ocean Pacific Grille, which debuted in June. With dark wood decor, the restaurant has 4,000 square feet and can split into two areas. Adjacent to the kitchen, the dining room seats 85 people; the second space seats 75. Restaurant buyouts are available.

Craft beers are the highlight at Quad Alehouse, located in a historic building in the Gaslamp district. The 5,000-square-foot third-floor venue has an open-space layout with lots of windows and communal and bar seating; it holds 244 people for receptions. The dining room seats 56. Entertainment options are available, as are restaurant buyouts. It opened in May.

Highly anticipated Bracero Cocina de Raiz opened its doors in Little Italy in July, filling two stories of the 4,800-square-foot space with rustic design elements. It features a separate kitchen and wraparound bar on both levels, and there is patio seating. The restaurant seats 168.

PB Alehouse, a 7,500-square-foot microbrewery and restaurant in Pacific Beach, reopened in July after a renovation. Two patios take advantage of the view: the downstairs patio seats 60 people and the upstairs deck seats 72. Buyouts are available; the entire venue holds 336 for receptions.

Opened in Hillcrest in June, Tabletop Commons offers comfort food and games. With the largest collection of tabletop games in the county, the open-floor concept also includes a loft looking over the first floor. The funky and unique space is 2,600 square feet and seats 150.
