Here's a look at new Las Vegas eateries, drinking spots, hotels, conference areas, private rooms, and other spaces set to open for events this winter. The new and renovated Las Vegas venues are available for corporate parties, weddings, fund-raisers, outdoor functions, business dinners, teambuilding activities, conferences, meetings, and more.

Minus5 Ice Experience opened its third Las Vegas location at the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian and the Palazzo in July. The ice bar offers vodka cocktails served in a glass made of pure ice and features chairs, a gondola, a tree, and more elements carved out of ice. The 3,000-square-foot space can hold as many as 100 reception-style for private events.

Flamingo Las Vegas hotel completed a $6.5 million renovation in July. Renovations to the property’s meeting spaces included modern updates to the walls, carpet, and light fixtures, as well as converting to LED lighting. Each of the hotel’s meeting rooms have been named after a Nevada city and feature historic photos from the 1950s. Event spaces include the 20,882-square-foot Sunset Ballroom that holds as many as 2,400 reception-style; the 7,552-square-foot Eldorado Ballroom that holds 700 reception-style; the Flamingo Showroom that accommodates 750 reception-style; and the Go Pool that accommodates as many as 1,500 reception-style.

Palms Casino Resort debuted its renovated meeting and convention spaces in September. The first phase of the hotel’s $146 million property-wide remodel involved the redesign of its 19,000 square feet of meeting and event spaces, which include a 10,300-square-foot ballroom and five meeting rooms. Upgrades include a design featuring geometric elements, vibrant art, gilded marble, and dark wood, as well as the addition of a custom digital signage system. The system by Four Winds Technology includes interactive 60-inch displays in meeting rooms and an upgraded sound system. The spaces can be customized to hold as many as 1,000 guests for events.

MGM Resorts International and the Sydell Group are debuting a new meetings and conference space this month as part of the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino’s transformation into Park MGM. The 77,000-square-foot conference space features a number of flexible meeting spaces, expansive ballrooms, and an outdoor terrace, serving as a new venue for events for as many as 5,200 guests. The space also will offer the city’s first-ever Executive Meeting Center (EMC) and Ideation Labs, which involves two meeting areas designed to maximize productivity for small groups that will debut in the second quarter of 2018. Additionally, Park MGM will include wellness meetings program Stay Well, which offers amenities such as specialized air purification systems, circadian lighting, and health-focused menus approved by the Cleveland Clinic.

JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa debuted the Palms Executive Conference Center in October. Located in the resort’s Palms Tower, the conference center has more than 15,000 square feet of flexible indoor/outdoor space and pre-function space, the latter of which has an expansive patio surrounded by greenery and waterfalls. The venue also was designed to be green, with features such as hydration stations to limit plastic water bottle use, electronic signage, linen-less tables, online event menus, and recycled notepads. Spaces include the Parian Room that can accommodate as many as 200 guests for receptions and nine breakout rooms that hold between 10 and 100 guests.

Cascade, another new event venue at the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa, opened in June. The 10,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor space features an open floor plan, and is available for special events, weddings, brunches, business seminars, and more. The venue can accommodate as many as 400 for receptions.

Dolce Garden Plaza, the latest addition to the 75,000-square-foot Enclave event venue, opened in May. The 3,750-square-foot outdoor space was designed to host events including wedding ceremonies, cocktail parties, and yoga retreats. The space also can be used together with the venue’s adjacent main concourse and Madrigal ballroom. The flexible space accommodates as many as 375 theater- and reception-style, and seats 188 classroom-style, 104 crescent round-style, and 206 banquet-style.

Hamptons restaurant opened at Tivoli Village in September. The two-story restaurant, which is managed by Wild Thyme Restaurant Group, serves American cuisine from chef Jay Bogsinske in an industrial-chic atmosphere. For private events, the restaurant has a second-floor dining room that seats 97 and accommodates as many as 150 for receptions.

Golden Gate Hotel & Casino completed its expansion project in September. The renovation, which nearly doubled the size of the venue, included an updated interior design from Dez Motif and Moser Architecture Studio, as well as a new entryway on Fremont Street Experience and the expansion of OneBar at One Fremont Street. For meetings and events, the casino has two penthouses that can each hold as many as 50 reception-style for cocktail receptions, corporate events, anniversaries, weddings, and more. The venue also has a conference room that can seat as many as 25.

W Las Vegas hotel launched its latest spa concept, Away Spa, in April. The spa features a lounge with complementary snacks and beverages and 10 treatment rooms with adjustable LED lighting, two music playlists, and treatments including the Vegas Vegan facial, a Vegas Baby hydration facial, and the Massage a Trois—pampering that includes a bath soak, scalp massage, full-body massage, and hydrating body wrap. The spa, which offers 8,896 square feet of space, is available for private events and can hold as many as 30 people between the lobby, lounge, and treatment rooms.
