Here's a look at a few new international spaces open for events this spring. The new and renovated venues are available for corporate parties, weddings, fundraisers, outdoor functions, business dinners, team-building activities, conferences, meetings and more.

Aloft Tulum

Aloft Tulum, a brand-new, boho-inspired hotel by Highgate Hotels, opened in February near Tulum's downtown district. The property features three multifunctional conference spaces, totaling 2,761 square feet. Meeting rooms hold up to 240 people and feature cutting-edge audiovisual equipment, plasma screen televisions and free Wi-Fi. The hotel also offers some high-tech services, such as a Mobile Key program for keyless entry into guest rooms and a Concierge Tablet, for added convenience. Buyout rates start at $129 USD, depending on the month and season.

Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo, Japan

Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo—which opened in October in the framed skyscraper district of Shinjuku, Japan—features a bold yet sophisticated design within the art-deco building. The hotel boasts more than 6,694 square feet of indoor function space across four rooms (Bowery, Lafayette, The Gallery and The Loft). As the hotel's largest meeting space, Bowery, a 2,109-square-foot ballroom with floor-to-ceiling windows, can accommodate more than 150 people for receptions.

Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid, Spain

Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid officially opened its doors earlier this month after the most extensive renovation in the property's 110-year history, including a face-lift of all four of the property's private event rooms: Salón Real, Salón Felipe, Salón Real Academia and Condesa Maslov. The 177,604-square-foot hotel also features newly renovated banqueting facilities with expansive windows overlooking the Prado Museum.

Desa Potato Head, Bali, Indonesia

Desa Potato Head, a creative village inspired by the dualism of Bali, is slated to open in May after expanding into its beach club, Potato Head Studio, and Katamama property. The 5,521-square-foot Tanaman room can host up to 124 guests.

Kingsland Locke, Dalston, London

Kingsland Locke is set to open next month, boasting 2,024 square feet. The property will have 124 contemporary studio apartments, as well as a complimentary co-working space, on-site microbrewery and gin distillery, all-day kitchen, fitness studio and coffee shop, all located in one of London's most eclectic neighborhoods. The interiors of Kingsland Locke were designed by East London-based studio Red Deer, who drew inspiration from the colors and scenes of the surrounding Dalston neighborhood. The rooms have been built with a more subdued palette to promote rest and relaxation, utilizing raw textures and soft tones.
