Today, Michelin released its first-ever editions of the Michelin Guide for Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The Los Angeles guide for 2008 features 290 venues, including 263 restaurants and 27 hotels. Three restaurants in Los Angeles—Mélisse, Spago, and sushi spot Urasawa—picked up two Michelin stars, and 15 others got one star. Las Vegas's Joël Robuchon earned a three-star distinction.
Michelin will celebrate the guide with a panel discussion and signing in Los Angeles on Wednesday at the Barnes & Noble at the Grove, as well as with parties at Les Deux tonight and at Blush at the Wynn in Las Vegas on Thursday.
