Apart from its notorious strip clubs and all-night gambling, Las Vegas offers plenty of more wholesome ways to keep male clients and groups entertained. Here's where to take ...
Fight Fans: Crown Boxing has partnered with the Crown Theater and Nightclub, in the intimate venue housed at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, to present a series of Friday night fights. The events, which kicked off Labor Day weekend, bring up-and-coming fighters to the venue. (The previous Friday night fights series maintained years of successful runs, providing entertainment to more than 50,000 in all.) Showgoers feel like they're in the middle of the action when the venue transitions to a nightclub after the final bell has rung and the winner is declared. Ticket prices range from $25 to $100. Ringside and reserved seating are available. There isn’t set group pricing; however, special packages can be put together for groups (incorporating bar tabs, for instance).
Cigar Aficionados: Casa Fuente inside the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace now features an embajadora de la casa. Serving as ambassador and guide to the cigar lounge is Rathna Singh, who can help guests pick out the right cigar for their palates or pair an aged scotch. Versed in the history of the Fuente family and an aficionado of the shop's cigar collection, Singh has been immersed in the venue's goings-on since moving to Las Vegas from her native Fiji islands. She was a member of the Casa Fuente opening team and returned after stints at sister venues for parent company Drive This Entertainment. For entertaining, the venue has a spacious indoor patio, a full-service bar serving specialty cocktails, and a large boutique offering cigar accessories.
Thrill Seekers: Magician Dirk Arthur is gearing up to debut his new show at O’Sheas Casino. Dirk Arthur’s Wild Magic is a high-energy show that blends comedy, dance, magic, and a chance to see the largest collection of big, exotic cats in Las Vegas. Audiences can experience the uncaged animals from as close as 10 feet away and no farther than 40 feet away. The show is 60 minutes long, and the assortment of cats varies on a daily basis, making each show a little different. Among the cats are snow white tigers, orange- and white-striped Bengal tigers, spotted leopards, black panthers, and a rare liger. Produced by Chip Lightman Entertainment, the show will perform twice nightly in the intimate O'Sheas Theater. General admission tickets are $22.95, and V.I.P. tickets are also available for $33.95 for reserved stage-side seating. The show's September 13 opening was postponed due to some engineering issues, but it is expected to open soon.
