A new corporate outing option for food enthusiasts is the Gourmet-on-the-Go food tour, a partnership between teambuilding company Watson Adventures Scavenger Hunts and City Food Tours. The culinary-themed journey includes stops at specialty food stores and notable eateries (with tastings along the way), brief talks from expert gourmet guides, and trivia about everything from olive varieties to artisanal chocolate. Current tours explore the meatpacking district, the Lower East Side, and the Union Square/Gramercy Park neighborhoods. Customized hunts for other areas of the city are also possible. Rates are $95 per person, including food, for groups of as many as 60 people. Bookings are handled through Watson Adventures.
