A six-story, 127-room, $9.5 million hotel owned by Silver Company on roughly seven acres, Hyatt Place Jacksonville Airport is expected to open in the spring of 2008 and will combine contemporary design with innovative services and amenities to create a full-service atmosphere of casual hospitality. Inspired by the changing landscape of business travelers who have adapted to a 24/7 multi-tasking lifestyle, Hyatt Place, managed by MMI Hotel Group and designed by Boston-based Cubellis, will offer all-inclusive meeting packages that include a meeting host dedicated to the success of your meeting, as well as state-of the-art audiovisual equipment and innovative food and beverage offerings. Each larger-than-normal guestroom will contain 42-inch flat panel high-definition televisions, a signature Hyatt Grand Bed, a plush Cozy Corner oversize sofa-sleeper, and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi Internet access throughout. The venue will also offer a variety of freshly prepared, café-quality items that guests can order 24/7 by way of a touch screen menu in the guest kitchen or from the gallery host. This year alone, 120 converted Hyatt Place hotels are expected to open and more than 30 additional groundbreakings are scheduled.
